Leading Trainer
We were leading trainer for about 30 minutes at Hoosier Park today after U HUSH won the first race on opening day. He had not been out since February of 2010 after having sustained a very rare ailment. He was ready for his $9.00 mutual.
5000 Starts and 30 wins!
Although I didn’t realize it, I went over my 5000 career start this week, winning one at River Downs on Sunday with a good looking Limehouse colt named PLAN AHEAD. With this win we now have 30 wins for the year which we thinks puts us on pace to get to the goal of 50+ wins for the year. The total purses won so far is $787,000 which should be no problem to get over a million for the year.
The month of July was good as we won 8 races and over $200,000 in purse money. The deadly noses and heads kept us from going over $300,000.
We are now running mostly at Presque Isle in Erie, PA and getting ready to start running Hoosier Park in Anderson Indiana opening on August 2nd and running through October 25th or so. By the end of Hoosier Park we hope to win a half million more in purse money.
Two year olds will start running as Indiana Downs only ran 3 races the whole meet, so that should help us out. A lot of our older horses have gone through their conditions, so it will make it tougher on them to find races and win races.
As always, we have horses for sale (2 yr. old and up) and all are ready to run.
Thanks to everyone who has helped us get this far and welcome to new owners and horses!!
