Tomorrow is opening day at Churchill Downs, (actually it is opening Night, as first post is 6 PM) and Derby week is off and running! The weather report is calling for mid 80’s all week with a chance of rain every day. (Still time for change in that forecast though.)
Just a reminder for those of you looking to claim something – get your money into your account and get ready as there will be lots of opportunities to get a horse that is ready to run!
Oaklawn is closing on Saturday with the running of the Arkansas Derby.
Scatman will be running in the Toyota Bluegrass Stakes at Keeneland on Saturday. He is number 13 in a field of 13. This is probably the toughest all around Derby Prep there has been. We’re excited to saddle him up and send him out!
Weather is suppose to be good and I am sure the crowd will be large. We are looking forward to Lauer Racing Stables biggest day in racing to date!
Less than 30 days to the Kentucky Derby. One week until Indiana Downs opens (thank heavens!).
The stable won three races in March. We did run 3rd in the Grade III Rebel Stakes at Oaklawn Park with SCATMAN. We are looking forward to a much bigger April with Indiana Downs and Keeneland opening and Oaklawn finishing up on the 14th.
