Football and their Coaches

Ohio State tonight 8pm against Wisconsin. Wisconsin has been a thorn in Ohio State’s side recently. Since our last quarterback broke his ankle and we have a new sophomore quarterback, it will be a tough night. They have always given Ohio State trouble. Now this year they have one of the best running backs in the country. If we could win big, we might slip into the top four. We probably really need somebody to lose too.

I don’t understand these coaching positions. Nebraska fires Bo Pellino who over the last seven years has been the winning est coach in America averaging over nine wins a year. Yes, he is not Mr. P.R. like some of these coaches are. They have to pay him like 7 million if he doesn’t get another job. Not a bad gig. So then they hire a guy who had a losing record this year from Oregon State. 5 and 7.  They gave him a couple more million than he was making. I don’t understand it and can not explain it. Not that the guy isn’t a good coach but…………….

It’s like a guy winning the Wood Memorial or the Bluegrass a couple years and then gets beat in the Derby and gets fired. It never ceases to amaze me.

They guy from Florida got the best deal. He got the 6 million dollar buy out and it doesn’t matter if he gets another job or not.

I predict Nebraska won’t win 9 next year.

They already fired the Michigan coach and the Nebraska coach. The Michigan coach I was told would last until the end of the year, but I guess they wanted to make sure he could apply for other jobs before they were taken. I wonder how many million he gets for leaving? I know it would be enough to get a stable started.
I didn’t get to go to the Ohio State football game the other night as I attended a High School Reunion, but I am going to the Ohio State vs. U of L Basketball game tonight  at the Yum Arena here in Louisville. So look for me on TV.
