Oaklawn Park has announced a purse increase. Maiden Special purse is now $64,000 which is up from $60,000. Bottom $5000 claimers now run for $20,000 in purse money.

We woke up this morning to 19 degree’s below zero on the farm. Coldest it has ever been since we have lived here. We got over a foot of snow and seems like we have done nothing but plow the driveways and parking areas for days! It is beautiful however and the horses seem to have fun when it is their turn to go out for exercise.

Had a colt born this morning by SPRING AT LAST. Any name suggestions? His mothers name is Frosting. Only our second foal of the year.

Took our first mare of the season to the breeding shed yesterday. Once we got out of the driveway it went pretty well.

Stall Applications are due later this week for Indiana Grand. You wouldn’t know it today, but they open April 21st which is about 65 days away. Closer than you think!

Hopefully, this is our last big storm of the winter.
