update

We had a decent week winning two races and hit the board a couple of times. Thought we should have been closer with a couple. I wasn't in love with the ride as I thought they moved a little early.

Today begins the last big yearling sale in Kentucky. They have 1100  available to purchase which includes 11 Indiana Breds. We also have some Indiana Bred Yearlings for sale as well which can be sold in partnerships. Contact me for further information.

Achieved the Goal

Well, we didn't get the win but we have made the goal of a million won in purse money! Yea!!!!!!!

PRIZE WINNER ran a 4th in Pennsylvania today and took us over the hump! We would like to thank everyone that helped us meet this goal.

Hoosier Park closes this weekend and the opportunities to run will become more limited as there is less racing in the area. Now we challenge ourselves to see how much we can win before the end of the year.

Just a little short

Haven't been running to many, but did have a winner yesterday with METRO DEVIL  for owners Margaux Farm. Thought the win would take us over the Million $$ mark, but we are just a little short. Just need $139 to get over the hump. Maybe tomorrows horse will do the job. Stay tuned…….

….the results are in…..

The stable had a big weekend. We ran nine horses over the two days and they finished as follows:

DREAMIN BIG 2nd "Miss Indiana Stakes"
ON Z RUN   5th     "Miss Indiana Stakes"
ELLENBERGER PARK 3rd "The Indiana Futurity Stake"
WHISTLIN' JEAN     1st  "Hoosier Breeders Sophomore Stakes"
DABOSSMAN 8th "The Indiana Derby" Grade II
PURELY AMATURE 2nd Maiden Special
METRO DEVIL 3rd Claiming 5000
HEY THERE CUPCAKE    2nd Claiming 16,000 Indiana Bred
TRUST N SEVEN     2nd ALW Open

Total purses won for the weekend was $108,356.00. Leaving us just a little more than $13,000 shy of the million dollar goal. We really wanted to get it this weekend, so close, but no cigar.

To say the stable has benefited greatly with the Indiana program this year is an understatement. All but two of the nine horses running this weekend were Indiana Bred horses.

We thought Hoosier Park put on a very good event. They had some national riders as well as Bob Baffert, Mike Pegram and LOOKIN AT LUCKY. They were a great fan draw, and were very cordial as they signed autographs and talked with people all day.

Even though it started raining at 10 am and rained steadily until 3 PM (which I am sure hurt the attendance), they still had a great handle with more than 2.7 million bet for the day. The track was good old fashioned sloppy.

Ralph Piercy and son as well as Ralph's brother-in-law came to the races to watch ELLENBERGER PARK place in "The Indiana Futurity Stakes". George Berry stopped by long enough to celebrate WHISTLIN' JEAN winning the second Running of "Hoosier Breeders Sophomore Stakes". (Our homebred TRUST N SEVEN  won this race last year.)

All in all a great time was had by everyone. And so we continue toward the million ………………….
