Double Winners Today

It is the sixth time this year we have won two races in a day. Today we had two wins, one second, one fourth and a nowhere (had a bad break at the gate). We ran our second two year old of 2016 and had our second win for this first time starter. ACCESSORIZING is a first time starter and half sister to Mister Pollard who is a winner of over $500,000. She paid $98.40 to win and ran a very professional race. She laid right behind the leaders and came up the rail like an old horse. I don’t know why this filly paid so much. It was kind of a shocker to me that she paid so much. Her half brother doesn’t like the grass and Old Fashioned is not a grass sire at all.

BOURBON AND LIME was our other winner of the day for owners Falcon Racing (Michael Johnson) Dana Smith and Penny Lauer. If you remember, he just won last Sunday at Belterra Park. He had five days rest and got the money again today. Both days had 90 degree temperatures. He won easily. Congrats to all!

We have four running tomorrow. Two at Indiana Grand, one at Churchill Downs and yet another at Belmont Park.

Big Wins Today

We had a great day at the races today. We won two. The first was a maiden win for AIR JON owned and bred by Jim Edgar. The second win was with homebred BADABING BADABOOM for owners Vince and Christine Cagle,  John and Kitty Barbaglia and Penny Lauer in the $100,000 Hoosier Breeders Sophomore Stakes. We also ran a bang up 2nd with our homebred TEQUILA AND SALT in  $100,000 Hoosier Breeders Sophomore Fillies Stakes. The track was sloppy, drying out surface. Another afternoon expected rain storm never got there.

When you count our two horses that won at Belterra on Sunday and these two today, that would make four  winners in a row. This is the fifth time this year that we have won two races in the same day.

A Great day in racing.

First 2 Yr. Old of 2016 wins

The stable won two races on Sunday. We ran our first 2 Yr. old at Belterra Park going 5/8 and it won going wire to wire in 58.14. He paid $17.60 to win. CAKE POP is a Ohio homebred colt.

BOURBON N LIME won a $15,000 open race going 1 mile on the grass. Congrats to owners Falcon Racing (Michael Johnson), Dana Smith and Penny Lauer. This was his 4th lifetime win all of which were on the grass.

Double Winners

We are up to about 228 or 229 in the National standings of money winning trainers. We have covered a lot of ground in the last 45 days. Most of it has been won at Indiana Grand, but it is all US Currency so it really doesn’t matter. As far as Indiana Grand goes, we are leading money winning trainer having gone over $300,000. Our goal is to get to a least a million overall and hopefully a million in Indiana alone. Three times this spring we have won two races the same day. On Tuesday we won both ends of the split three year old maiden special races. The first with homebred SIGHTS AND SOUNDS who races for Jim & Scott Farrar, Falcon Racing and Penny Lauer winning  by 9 1/2 lengths. And then with another homebred BADABING, BADABOOM who won by 6 lengths who races for new clients Vince and Christine Cagle, John & Kitty Barbaglia and Penny Lauer.

We have some 2 yr. olds for sale for those of you that want to have some fun racing. We also have a number of yearlings that are available for partnership as well. Give us a call. GET IN THE GAME.
