2014 Indiana Breeder of the Year

We attended the TOBA luncheon and dinner in Lexington at the beautiful Hill N Dale Farm on Friday where we were presented with this beautiful trophy. We are honored and feel very lucky to  have won this award for the third time. Our win as the 2014 Indiana Breeder of the Year was mostly due to MISTER POLLARD who won 2014 Indiana Horse of the Year. We did have a couple other home bred stake performers as well (Hoosier Neighbor, Dreamin Big).

FALL AROUND THE CORNER

Most of you know we took a few horses to Saratoga which we like to do when we have the right horses. We have won one race up there with DYNAMITE STICK ($40.00). He is an Indiana Bred. The meet ends Monday, on Labor Day. We still have a couple to run.

With the ending of Saratoga comes the yearling sales. They begin in a week and will sell over three thousand at Keeneland. This is a great spot to get in.

Today marks the opening of Football season highlighted by the opening game for Western Kentucky University against Vanderbilt on the SCC network. North Carolina plays South Carolina and then there are some lesser games scattered around the country. This weekend there are some bigger games; Texas VS. Notre Dame, Louisville VS. Auburn and the weekend ends with Ohio State at Virginia Tech (saving the best for last).

Pro Football takes off next week.

Other than the fact it is 93 degrees in Kentucky, fall is in the air. GO BUCKS!!
