It is Derby Day and I hate to tell you I haven’t really made any picks yet. But, it has rained for the last 20 hours and it supposed to end by noon today. The track may be listed fast at Derby Time, but it will still be soft. In a rare move, they did not open the track for training this morning. The sealed the track and left it alone.

I think the off track could make Big Brown, Muddy Brown by the end of the day. But then again if he gets an easy lead the track could play to speed as it did with Speedy Jones a few years ago.

Of course I have to root for Z Humor (by Distorted Humor) as he could have another big day as he has two other horses on the card in Stakes that are alive and should run good. (Spinmaster and Hysterical Lady)

To make this quick, I am going with Colonel John, Z Humor and Pyro as I think he will bounce back from his race. I think Court Vision and Eight Belles can hit the board.
